The fifth ‘Belli Hejje’ of the top ranking actress Jayanthi on last Saturday at Badami House the monthly chat show organized by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy doled out many sad part in the life of actress.

In the two hours long address of the actress Abhinaya Sharadhe Jayanthi the most pensive mood came up when she spoke on her brain child ‘Abhinetri’ that she started later became a futile attempt.

After addressing on this particular topic Jayanthi was in tears for sometime. The respected actress felt bad because the politicians Ramakrishna Hegde and Jeevaraj Alva who invited her did not see to it she gained the MP seat from Chikkaballapur constituency.

The losing and gaining in the life of Jayanthi is a regular event. Collecting all her pains that also includes ‘Abhinetri’ idea getting shattered she said many of the state awards that was almost certain to come for her missed. ‘Naanu keledre Kodthare but I have not asked anything so far.

For a shelter to women I started ‘Abhinetri’ but many of the members in that did not behave wisely. Nanna Kanasannu Mannalli Hakidru. I do not kill my child. Abhinetri was my child. ‘Nanninda Bachi Thindiddare’. Abhinetri hesaralli kelavaru thindru’. Drum halige ondhu thottu Huli hakidru’. Aase Ekkuttu Hoithu.

Jayanthi was also in the coolest mind in the beginning when she revealed about her fascination to jasmine flowers and Rose petals. In my younger days I was enjoying the aroma of it by spreading it on my bed she stunned everyone.

Artists were seen as God in those days. Eking out an experience when she was with 104 degree temperature Jayanthi said in the pond scene thousands of liters of hot water was pushed so that I do not problems in the health. One doctor and one nurse were to my side. I was looked like a child.

Recalling her 36 films with Dr Rajakumar the actress said it was called as ‘RAJA’ (RAjakumar JAyanthi) Jodi. She thanked her Gurus KV Reddy, K Balachander and K Vishwanath and Bhagwan plus Rathnakar in Kannada cinema for teaching Kannada language to her.

Jayanthi alias Kamalakumari came conquered and won the hearts and she is still the dream girl for many of the yesteryear audiences.
